Problematic Art Works Fact Sheets (draft)

On Tuesday 24 February 2009, the acga invited interested parties to attend a Fact Sheet Development Workshop at the Griffin Gallery Melbourne University.

This workshop was aimed at developing information to inform the public and the industry about issues associated with problematic art works. The draft Fact Sheets covered the following topics: ethical purchasing; the importance of documentation; explaining the importance of provenance; and an introduction to industry based codes of practice.

This workshop was an outcome of the acga's Problematic Art Works Forum held in June 2008.

Copies of the draft fact sheets can be downloaded from this website. These are currently being reviewed to take into consideration the comments and issues raised at the workshop.
